» home » events : fundraising 16 October 2011 HOME does not receive any funding from government sources and we rely purely on donations and the good will of the public. We are one of the few organisations in Singapore that provides social support and aid to migrant workers. We plan to raise funds through a fund raising lunch on 18 December 2011 by requesting individuals and corporations to sponsor tables/seats for migrant workers. There will be approximately 500 migrant workers who will be at this lunch. Some of the problems our beneficiaries face include 1) Unpaid salaries 2) Physical, verbal and sexual abuse (especially domestic workers) 3) Work injuries and other health related problems 4) Long hours and poor working conditions Your donation will be used to fund the following programmes: 1) Providing shelter for abused and homeless migrant workers 2) Providing counselling, advice and legal aid to migrant workers 3) Provide education (English, computer classes, HIV sex education) to workers Ban Heng Pavilion Restaurant at Harbour Front 12pm—3pm, December 18 2011 Sponsor a migrant worker (individual donations) You can choose to sponsor as many migrant workers you wish at $200 per seat. Alternatively, you could sponsor your domestic worker, or your friends could sponsor their domestic workers to come for this lunch. Halal food can be arranged, if necessary. Corporate donations: There are 3 level sponsorships: Gold: $5000 per table (Full page advertisement in a souvenir magazine with prominent banner) Silver: $3000 per table (Half page advertisement) Bronze : $2000 per table (Quarter page advertisement) All sponsors will be issued a tax deductible receipt for their donation.
