H.O.M.E. responds to displaced men and women migrants with programs and services that alleviate their plight. In our humanitarian efforts, we have also responded to disasters such as the tsunami which affected the lives of the families of migrant men and women working in Singapore. H.O.M.E. disbursed $100,000 to assist those affected by the disaster.

1) Providing shelter and food to destitute and abused female and male migrant workers

2) Free outpatient medical treatment

3) Providing recreation and organising activities/workshops that promote psychological and spiritual well being in collaboration with community partners and volunteers

Welcome Homes (Shelters)

HOME runs 2 shelters for women and men. Our beneficiaries approach us directly for assistance, or are referred to us by the authorities (Police, MOM, ICA) and other civic groups and partners.

Our residents are usually victims of abuse, exploitation or have suffered injuries in the work place. The shelters are a place for refuge and respite. They may stay for duration periods for a month to a year. This is essentially dependent on the process of investigations by the enforcement agencies.

Our welcome homes provide not just a shelter but also a family for those who are in crisis situations. We have been family to migrants from Bangladesh, China, Congo, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

In collaboration with our volunteers and partners, we organize activities, performances, workshops and outings to engage our residents during their stay with us.
