Interested in migrant worker rights in Singapore? Want to know what it is like working in an advocacy organisation? We are looking for interns who are enthusiastic about migrant workers’ rights!

Intern With HOME!

Prospective candidates can consider joining us in Casework, for either our Migrant Workers' Helpdesk or Women’s Shelter, Research & Advocacy, or Communications.

Casework:
Migrant Workers’ Helpdesk

  • HOME operates a helpdesk for migrant workers in construction, marine, process and service sectors seeking assistance for issues such as wage theft, work injuries, wrongful dismissals and more. Interns will be involved in conducting intake interviews, offering advice to workers unsure of their rights and options, and assisting with the end-to-end process of workers’ cases.

Casework:
Women’s Shelter

  • HOME runs a crisis shelter for domestic workers who have experienced abuse and exploitation. Interns will gain experience conducting intake interviews, resolving disputes with employers/ employment agencies, and assisting with the end-to-end process of workers’ cases.

Research & Advocacy

  • HOME is a leading proponent of migrant workers’ rights in Singapore, and carries out research on various issues affecting migrant workers, including labour rights, living conditions, healthcare, and legal protections. Interns assist with research and advancing HOME’s advocacy goals with social media posts and campaigns.

Communications

  • HOME aims to increase awareness of the situation of migrant workers through public education and campaigns on issues affecting them. Interns will be involved in planning, producing and executing publicity campaigns and events for HOME.
